Rama Tamir is a farmer and an entrepreneur with a passion for hot peppers. Rama met us at our lab, bringing a new hot-pepper energy drink she had developed. She wanted our advice in how she could take her product to the next level.
Together, we thought of an original idea: turning her drink into an alcohol-free energy beverage that would provide drinkers with a familiar alcoholic "buzz" after several glasses. To achieve our goal, we began researching the characteristics and qualities of hot peppers, and began concocting various extractions.After one year, we were able to develop an extraction based on several hot pepper strains Rama had developed. With the generous help of the biochemist we work with, we were able to achieve an alcoholic beverage profile with 0% alcohol. This is how a new and very bold brand was born: Shatara!
Shatara, which has a sweet and delicious flavor, contains a small percentage of hot peppers. The beverage's sweetness is derived from a unique fruit blend. Shatara does not include added sugar, and contains all of the vitamins and minerals that are usually found in natural energy drinks.

After an extensive search spanning several months for a food development laboratory in Israel, we ultimately selected Gruda Laboratory based on the recommendation of a experienced food technologist. The team’s extraordinary acumen enabled them to decipher the intricate flavors embedded in our homemade syrup, culminating in the development of a distinctive and harmoniously balanced energy drink. This beverage seamlessly integrates extracts from fresh fruits and spices, a unique blend of terpenes, tryptophan, and a subtle infusion of caffeine.
